Gianna Detoni

Gianna Detoni

With over 40 years of experience in the field, Gianna is one of the leading experts of organizational resilience, business continuity and operational risk management worldwide. She is the BCI Global Industry Personality of 2017, the former BCI Italy Chapter Leader, an active BCI Approved Instructor and the founder and former Chair of the BCI Women in Resilience Group.  She wrote many articles on the topics related to continuity and resilience, and is one of the key contributors to the development of the BCI Good Practice Guidelines, the reference manual for resilience professionals. Last but not least, she is a Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute (FBCI), the highest membership grade of the BCI, and a certified professional by the Institute of Risk Management (IRM). Since 2009, she is President of PANTA RAY, training and management consulting firm, specialized in the disciplines of organizational resilience. Previously, she has worked for over 30 years for JPMorgan Chase Bank.

Alberto Mattia

Alberto is a passionate contributor to the continuity and resilience industry. As a member of the ISO/TC 292 – WG2 and the working group for the update of the BCI Good Practice Guidelines (2018 edition), he is actively engaged in the writing of international standards and best practices. He is also an author of several articles, papers and research reports, and is often invited to attend international conferences, webinars and events as a speaker on business continuity and operational risk management. Alberto is a Member of the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI), a BCI Approved Instructor and an IRMCert professional (issued by the Institute of Risk Management). He served in the BCI Risk and Governance Committee for three years until May 2019 and as the BCI Italy Forum Deputy Leader for four years until December 2018. In his current role as Chief Executive Officer and General Manager at PANTA RAY, Alberto guides and supports large organizations across many industries in developing effective business continuity management systems and risk management frameworks, as well as in achieving their resilience objectives.

Werner Verlinden

Mr. Werner Verlinden, FBCI and IRMCert professional and former Chair of the BCI Chapter Netherlands Belgium, has a strong professional level of expertise in the domains of Business Continuity Management, Risk Management, Crisis/Incident Management, Information Security, and resilience in general. A part from being owner and principal consultant of the company Musena Consulting operating in the Business Continuity field, he contributes to the industry also in his role of member of the ISO Technical Committee 223/4, which developed ISO 22301 and ISO 22313 while representing the Belgian Standardisation Organisation (NBN) and by having contributed to the development of the national BCM standard of the United Arab Emirates.

Alice Kaltenmark

Alice has over 39 years’ experience in IT with 37 years at LexisNexis / Reed Elsevier (RELX Group). She began her career as a software engineer and quickly advanced into management. Since beginning her management career in 1989, she has led many organizations spanning the spectrum from software development, release management, development support, daily operations, technology introduction, and culminating in her current role in Service Continuity Management. Alice holds the Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) certification and the Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute (FBCI) certification – with 20+ years’ experience in business and service continuity management.

Alice is committed to giving back to the business continuity community and growing the profession. She currently serves as President, BCI USA Chapter and Past President & Treasurer, Continuity Professionals of Ohio (CPO).

Gert Kogenhop

Gert Kogenhop is owner of bcm+, a Business Continuity Management Consultancy firm aimed at training, advising and supporting organisations implementing Business Continuity Management Systems. He chairs the ISO Mirror Committee Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management at NEN and is an Honorary Member of the Business Continuity Institute. Gert is author of many publications, editor of the BCM Column in a regional quality and sustainability magazine and Course Governor Resilience Management at the Security & Continuity Institute (SECO in the Netherlands). He has a background in Finance, HR, Operations, Logistics and ICT and during his years as a Senior Manager in the DELL Technology Organisation in Europe he served as Regional Finance Director Northern Europe.

CEO and Managing Partner of Risk Resources, Mr. Varshney has been The First Person to enter into “Hall of Fame” at the UK, “Legends of business continuity”, with 4 awards in same category – Industry Personality of Year 2018 (Global), 2018 (India & South Asia), 2017 (India) and 2007 (Global). He boosts 25 years of cumulative experience in Enterprise & Operational Risk Management, BCM, IT, Quality & Business Strategy and 20 years of experience in Enterprise Risks at Head of Program Level in Banking & Financial services and IT/ Outsourcing domain. Vikrant led the foundation of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) in India during 2004-2010 and is now supporting again as Chairman of BCI Hyderabad Chapter as well as Founding Steering Committee member of BCI India Next Practice Group (3rd yet most active ThinkTank of the BCI globally).

Jean Rowe

Jean Rowe, Corporate Workplace Resiliency Manager at Amazon, is internationally recognized as a subject matter expert in organizational resilience, security, enterprise risk, business continuity and crisis management. She has over 20 years developing, implementing and managing strategic projects and programs in more than 186 countries for both public and private sector organizations. Most recently, she developed the enterprise risk management and organisational resilience program for Uphold Inc. She designed and implemented world class business continuity and crisis management programs in 186 countries for the World Bank Group, the IMF, and the United Nations Women and Economic Commission for Africa. She also developed and implemented the resilience program for Verisign, the world’s internet infrastructure provider. As a trusted advisor, she has in-depth experience in responding to and recovering from natural and manmade disasters (from social media to cyber security disasters). She is a published author, an engaging speaker, and served on several technical committees to shape BCP standards, leading practices, and industry benchmarking.

Head of Enterprise Resilience at Netflix, Scott is a passionate Risk & Resiliency leader. Creator of the Engaged Matrix Model of Organizational Resilience (EMM), he is specialized in creating truly sustainable organizational resilience programs for global, multi-billion-dollar companies and integrating cyber resilience and other operational risk areas with BCM.

Uxía Fernández González

Uxía Fernández is the partner in charge of business continuity at Ozona Consulting. She is part of the international committee ISO/TC 292, which develops ISO standards related to business continuity and crisis management. She is also a member of the board of the BCI Spanish Chapter. She has extensive experience in auditing and implementing business continuity management systems in large companies from different sectors. She is also the project leader for ISO / TS 22317- Guidelines for business impact analysis. As for her qualifications, she is MBCI and ISO 22301 Master certified, which includes ISO 22301 Lead auditor and Lead implementer.
